- RECENT NEWS - 25 June 2000 - NEWS! Heat will be shown tonight at 8 PM EST on NBC. 20 November 1999 - Obviously, the site move to a more permanent server has been delayed indefinitely. I have fixed some typos and broken links- thanks to those who emailed me with the tips. But of course the biggest news is Michael Mann's first movie since HEAT, The Insider, which has been nominated for several Oscars. I have seen the movie, and it is unbelievable. Of course I like HEAT better, but The Insider is every bit as smart and engaging. I think I need to see it a few more times.
